From 19th to 21st December, CBCGDF representative attended the S31st Salon for Secretaries-General at National Associations of Chinese Association of Science and Technology(CAST), hosted by the Department of Academic and Societies Affair, CAST and China Society of Automotive Engineers(SAE-China), at the theme of “Membership service and Development”, with more than 50 Secretaries-General participating.

In the group discussion, the Secretaries-General of Associations across China, based on the actual situation of their associations, had an in-depth exchange and discussion on topics revolving the membership internationalization, membership center construction, member information construction, and the diversity of membership service.

During the discussion, CBCGDF shared the experience of its daily work. CBCGDF is a national public welfare fund-raising foundation, a national first-level society. Volunteers are an important part of CBCGDF. CBCGDF also established over 100 China Conservation Area(CCAfa).

In the past three years, the number of volunteers in CBCGDF has grown from zero to more than 10,000. At the same time, from April 18, 2016, the Green Club established the first CCAfa- Changchun. Through collaboration with volunteers, CCAfa was flourishing.

The Salon for Secretaries-General at National Associations of CAST is a platform for the national associations to communicate and exchange experiences with each other. It aims to solve the key problems and difficulties jointly, and to work together to innovate and develop, and continuously improve the membership service and related technology. The Salon is to develop strategies, improve the citizen proficiency in science, and serve the Party committee and government in scientific decision-making, assisting the members to be world-class societies.
