The Experiences and Approaches of Internationalization of Public Welfare, CBCGDF is Willing to Share without Reservation: We are an Ecological Forest

Recently, Dr. Zhou Jinfeng, the Secretary General of CBCGDF and colleagues from several departments have sorted out some practices of CBCGDF in the internationalization of public welfare and invited everyone to share some of the experiences and practices. The working approaches, etc., are sorted out and provided to all the needy partners in a systematic and unreserved manner.

“Whether it is something worth learning from, or the mistakes CBCGDF has made, as long as we can provide a little help, what we have done is worthy.”

At present, the embodiment of China’s social organization “Going Out” is still insufficient. According to CBCGDF’s representative attended the 69th Meeting of the Standing Committee (SC69) of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES), 83 NGOs from around the world participated the event as observers, among them, more than 34% are from the United States, more than 22% are from Europe, two NGOs including CBCGDF are from China, accounting for less than 2.5%.

Social organizations go out and actively participate in international affairs. From the perspective of civil interaction, telling stories about China's environmental protection and building more cooperative relationships, this will help the world to understand more and more about the domestic public's thinking on ecological environmental protection. The practice also helps domestic social organizations to understand the dynamics of relevant international fields and learn from international advanced work experience and approaches. This kind of interaction is mutually beneficial.

In the past two years, CBCGDF has developed rapidly international exchanges and cooperation, established a wide range of international contacts, and formed a good model of interaction and cooperation. It not only invited international experts to serve as advisors for CBCGDF, but also was invited by various international events organized by including the United Nations. Through participating these events, we received invitations and requests for cooperation worldwide, and deeply participated in the work of various international organizations, and established a wide-ranging international volunteers team, which enables CBCGDF to effectively voice in important international conferences and events and pass on ideas.

So, how does CBCGDF achieve these results step by step? What problems we have encountered during the period? What setbacks we have experiences? And what mistakes we have made? At present, we are systematically sorting out the work experience in this area. We also welcome the public welfare friends who are willing to “going out” to communicate with us. CBCGDF will share its experience and lessons without reservations and will be happy to listen to your methods and recommendations, learn from each other and make progress with each other.

Dr. Zhou once said that CBCGDF is an ecological forest. Our strength and resources come from the public. The ecological energy we have acquired should also be returned to everyone, hoping to help everyone.
