The world is going through the COVID-19 crisis. At such a moment, we celebrate the 50th Earth Day. In the course of 4.5 billion years of the earth, it has experienced five biological extinctions. The sixth biological extinction is coming. Unlike the previous five times, the process of this biological extinction is closely related to human activities.

Now, the earth's only habitat and home, facing the crisis of biodiversity loss and climate change. Responding to these two major crises is related to sustainable human development. Our planet is unique. It is both fragile and strong, and it needs our protection. Life on earth may be far away from each other, but at this challenging moment in the present, we are holding hands together and heart in heart.

On this Earth Day ’s 50th anniversary, the world must unite and raise voices for earth and nature. In this series of activities on World Earth Day in 2020, China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) and International Fund for China's Environment (IFCE), together with earthday.org, carried out a full range of science popularization and promotion activities in China, aiming to emphasize the importance of ecological environment And hope that through the leading role and influence of celebrities and stars, everyone is encouraged to actively participate in environmental protection actions.

Rising Voice for Nature. The following highlights the ambassadors of this Earth Day 50th anniversary event and some guests from China and invites readers to join them in their efforts to protect the blue earth. You can participate in activities like this

IFCE and CBCGDF publish recommended song lists and endangered species lists on their official websites (www.ifce.org, www.cbcgdf.org,) and their official Weibo platforms. You can select a song about nature conservation and beauty of nature from the song list (or your favorite / composed song about nature), or select a species from the recommended list, introduce the species through painting or explanation, and make a video.

Five ways to participate in the campaign:

1. Sing your favorite song and give a brief introduction to the song;

2. Participate in the form of species painting and give a brief introduction to the painted species.

3. Participate as a narrative: introduce a species or tell a story about how COVID-19 affects your life.

4. Participate in the form of graffiti masks: Make graffiti paintings of natural themes on the masks, then bring the masks and say what you think

5. Participate in the form of a slogan: "I am a citizen of the earth xxx, I am willing to use (a kind of environmental protection, such as not eating wild animals, etc.), + concluding remarks".
