Nowadays, the lifestyle and the production model adopted by most people should be changed. The industry of fur, for instance, is unsustainable.

In the era of Ecological Civilization, we should adjust our thoughts and values because the reality of habitat loss cannot be improved without fundamental transformation.

Since the signing of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), the rapid loss of biodiversity has not been changed yet. The main obstacle is the convention developed in the ear of Industrialized Civilization. Therefore, transformation is required, such as legislation. In some areas like furs, it may not be the perfect time to initiate compulsory legislation, and that's why we should actively advocate and engage in the construction of Ecological Civilization and fulfill the vision of Ecological Civilization.

The traditional appreciation of the beauty in primitive society is plain and simple decoration like a piece of animal hide, a tiger tooth or a feather. People regained resources from nature. The main challenges were natural calamities. As the globe enters into the era of Ecological Civilization, we should rethink the habitats in daily life. The excessive exploitation of natural resources should be halted. The pursuit of capital, the demand for wealth accumulation and the promotion of industries are posing a grave threat to habitats.

Some research has confirmed the relationship between economic growth and carbon emission. The 2008 global financial crisis led to a great recession, while the GHG emission significantly declined.

We need to urge enterprises to make a change for securing sustainable and high-quality development of the economy as well as creating a better life.

Reducing the use of plastic book covers will consequently decrease its production. Then what would our life be? Less pollution and more happiness. Many books are recyclable. People can gain a sense of happiness and satisfaction.

Sustainable development requires us to adjust the mode of production and lifestyle, leaving natural resources for future generations. Taking the fur industry, for example, toxic chemicals would be produced in fur-marking, which has a negative effect on human health. The fur industry indirectly boosts the growth of the breeding industry which accounts for the largest proportion of GHG emissions. At the same time, the fur industry promotes the illegal wildlife trade. All these industries have influenced the habitat for all of us. Why don't we stop and make a change from the Industrialized Civilization to the Ecological Civilization? We should extend education from the perspectives of thoughts and culture, thus facilitating compulsory legislation. We fight for habitats and human existence.

We also hope the upcoming Fifteenth Conference of Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD COP15) this October will appeal to all participants not to wear fur.
