2. Ocean noise. As we all know, sonar is learned and mastered by human beings. Whales in the ocean seek direction, food, and companion by making a sound. They maintain their daily lives by making sounds, by the rapid propagation of sound in water, and by the reflection after encountering obstacles. Bats, too, live through sonar technology. But now marine mammals, which depend on sound to live in the ocean, are facing a major crisis. Nowadays, ocean noise caused by ships sailing in the ocean, especially a large number of commercial ships and some military facilities, has brought fatal effects to marine mammals. These noises make the whales living by sonar lose their way in the ocean. Their spirits, their food, their breeding, and other activities are seriously disturbed. Whales are located at the top of the food chain, and the effects of noise on them are transmitted layer by layer through the food chain, affecting other life in the ocean. The impact is enormous. International scientists will also study how to control the impact of ocean noise on marine life. This is the challenge facing the oceans and the second problem to be solved urgently.

3. Corals and mangroves. Mangroves are threatened worldwide. Mangroves in our country have been protected now, but in the past few decades of China's reform and opening up, mangroves have declined rapidly. Everyone knows that mangroves are the birthplaces of marine life. The disappearance of mangroves has a great impact on marine life. Corals are another birthplace of marine life. It is their existence that breeds different marine life. But now climate change has a direct impact on the temperature of seawater. The change in seawater temperature affects a large number of corals. When the water temperature rises by one or half degrees, it is difficult for corals to survive, because their long-term evolution depends on the constant temperature state of seawater. If corals disappear and die on a large scale, the marine life based on corals and coral ecosystems will be seriously threatened, from algae to lower organisms to higher organisms.

4. Coastline. There is a large mud beach on Shanghai East Beach. Several days ago, Shanghai was going to plant trees on the East Beach. When our volunteers saw it, they reported it to us. We published articles on it and also expressed our views. Can trees be planted on the mudflats of Dongtan? There are millions of birds in Dongtan every year, some from Africa and some from Australia. They have to rest, eat and replenish their energy on the coastal beaches of China. Some birds will fly to Siberia, others to Canada. This is the route of global bird migration. Many of these migratory birds are extremely endangered.
