On October 12, 2019, China (Langfang) International Organic Food Exhibition, the First National Special Agricultural Product Development Conference and the 2nd National Organic Food Development Forum were held in Langfang, Hebei Province. The conference was organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and was catered by the Hebei Provincial Committee of CCPIT, Langfang International Exhibition Group Co., Ltd. and the Chinese Society of Agricultural Resources and Regional Planning.

Many leaders and experts from China's agricultural field focus on organic food, green, safety, and other topics, starting from the height of the national green development strategy, sharing the development achievements of national organic food, green food, geographical indications of agricultural products and other high-quality agricultural products industry with an open vision. At the same time, the development trend of high-end nutritional and functional agricultural products rich in micronutrients, resistant starch, gamma-aminobutyric acid and other healthy functional factors, such as iron, zinc, selenium, vitamin and agricultural products with local characteristics, and the nutritional and health functional food was promoted.

Xiao Qing, deputy secretary-general of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF), attended the forum and delivered a speech. He said that agricultural structure, diet, and green food are not only simple concepts such as necessities of human survival, but also major issues related to the survival of the whole planet. How to promote the safe development of the whole food system by changing the structure of life and diet is an important proposition. A tree has to strike a firm root before it can flourish. A river has to have a fully dredged source before it can flow far. The construction of ecological civilization has entered the "fast lane". A beautiful China with the bluer sky, clearer water, and greener mountains is approaching. Adhere to the harmonious coexistence of man and nature, let green become the main tone of agriculture, let ecological civilization become the main melody of the country.

In his speech, Jane Yi, director of the Good Food Fund of CBCGDF, analyzed the risks, opportunities and responsibilities in the field of food, expounded that human beings are facing enormous health and ecological risks, emphasized that improving human food consumption and production mode contains enormous opportunities, which is also an inescapable responsibility of human beings. At the same time, practitioners in the field of agriculture also shoulder sacred responsibilities. The key to food transformation is to realize the plate revolution centered on "plant leading" as soon as possible. The Good Food Initiative launched by the Good Food Foud of CBCGDF also provides a framework and goal for this change, and more institutions and individuals are expected to actively participate in it.

Mei Fangquan, an advisor to the State Food and Nutrition Consultant Committee, former vice-chairman of the Standing Committee, former senior expert steering member of the United Nations Food Safety Committee, honorary director of the Agricultural Information Institute of CAAS, and an important promoter of "food and medicine homology" in China and the world, published "Accelerating the development of the national food and medicine homolog." The keynote speech of the Global Food and Drug Homology Industry shared with participants the development goals of the food industry, the long history of Chinese medicine and food homology and the support of the modern scientific practice.

The conference has set up a platform for exchanges and cooperation of organic, green, landmark, nutrition and other high-quality agricultural products, which is very in line with the development needs of China's high-quality agricultural products industry.
