According to international consensus, there is a Pangolin Day in mid-February every year.

A total of eight species Pangolins (Latin name: Manis). A geophytic mammal with a long, narrow body, scaly armor, short limbs, flat and long tail. Pangolins live mostly in deciduous forests of the subtropics. During the day, they often hide in caves. In the evening, they often go out to look for food. In the day and night, they crouch into spheres when they encounter enemies. Pangolins are rare in the wild. Pangolin is also known as "Forest Guardian" and "Son of the Earth". A pangolin eats 7 million ants and termites every year. It is very helpful to maintain forest health. However, it is the most sold mammal in the world.

Since 1994, all species of pangolins have been listed in Appendix II of the CITES. Pangolins are considered to be the most threatened mammals in the world by illegal trade. In early October 2016, the CITES Conference of Parties approved a proposal to upgrade eight pangolin species to Appendix I. This means that pangolins are protected at the highest level in the world and all international trade is prohibited.

Private killing and eating are prohibited in China. According to experts, a pangolin can protect 250 mu of mountain forest from termites. However, the illegal hunting, selling, buying and eating of pangolins are still prohibited, showing off "eating high-priced wildlife" has even become a trend.

According to incomplete statistics, 209 cases involving pangolins were seized by law enforcement departments in 2007-2016, with an average of 11 cases in 2007-2011 and 31 cases in 2012-2016. The pangolins or their products involved included 2405 living animals, 11 419 dead bodies and 34 946 kg of scales, equivalent to about 75 000 pangolins.

China is a consumer turnover market for wildlife. As we all know, Cantonese people loved the game in ancient times, and the local area became the most important distribution center for wildlife trade. Pangolin is the most popular dish at the table. Some people mistakenly believe that pangolin scales have magical medicinal effects, delicious meat, and rich nutritional value. There is demand, so the market appeared. The market price of pangolins now varies from 600 to 800 kilograms. The weight of a pangolin is about ten to twenty kilograms. There are still many people who are blinded by interests, ignore the existence of the law and continue to make money in this industry regardless of everything.

It is urgent to rescue pangolins. In order to prevent them from disappearing on the earth, we support the guards who strive to protect pangolins on the front line.

We hope that by investigating the current situation of illegal pangolin trade through volunteers, China and the whole world will become the country that no longer buys pangolin. Let the pangolin get rid of the misfortune of being eaten up by human beings.

We will do the following three things:

1. Survey of pangolin protection for volunteers. Volunteers went to areas and countries where pangolin poaching and trade were rampant. Through effective investigation, the results will be publicized through the media, and timely reported to the forest public security and other relevant law enforcement departments of the State Forestry Administration to crack down such illegal acts, so as to arouse the whole society's attention, participation and protection of pangolin.

2. Propaganda material Production and Media Dissemination. Publicize the importance of pangolin protection to the society, advocate the concept of refusing to eat pangolin to the public, and cut off the illegal trade chain of pangolin.

3. Hold pangolin conservation seminar. The seminar report to promote the government and relevant departments for policy formulation and legislative practice of pangolin protection.
