On 16 April, CBCGDF representatives attend the Workshop on Pangolin Rescue held by Guangdong Wildlife Center. Regarding the pangolin conservation, we hope that pertinent governmental apartments to get their hand "dirty" instead of purely discuss pangolin conservation in meetings and workshops or to hold meetings for meetings. The Center shall provide detailed data such as the amount of the living pangolins, how long have they arrived at the center, how many have died, along with the weight, photograph, footage and so on for advanced research before the workshop. If not, we are afraid that the meeting will go in vain. If the workshop sincerely intends to gather output from attendees, the discussion must base on what can be seen. Simply put, attendees shall be invited to observe the pangolins.

Currently, the only successful rescue is to allow pangolins to return to the wild. There's no historical record to prove that the Center has achieved even one successful captivate breeding. According to its research, CBCGDF found that most pangolins in captivate breeding decease due to unadjusted diet. Without a successful diet, even survival and growth are problems for captive pangolins, not to mention successful reproduction.  Therefore, CBCGDF strongly urges the Center to set the pangolins free after the pangolins recover. CBCGDF is willing to jointly protect the pangolins and help with the process.
