China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) has learned from the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) that Adapting Traditional Medicine to fulfill the vision of Eco-civilization motion is accepted.

The IUCN World Conservation Congress (WCC), held each four years, aims to improve how we manage our natural environment for human, social and economic development by bringing thousands of leaders and decision-makers from government, civil society, indigenous peoples, business and academia together to conserve the environment and harness the nature-based solutions to global challenges. The upcoming 2020 IUCN WCC will be held in Marseilles, France from June 11 to 19 next year. CBCGDF, as the IUCN member organization, fully exercise its right by submitting a motion on advocating the sustainable use of traditional medicine via the development of standards for the sustainable production of TM ingredients and halting the total use of endangered species in TM. Strong measures like training program are encouraged to reduce the demand for the use of TM with endangered species ingredients.
