Bee Farmers Faced Difficulties in Prevarication on Certificate Issue in Hubei | CBCGDF Anti-Epidemic and Rehabilitation Working Team Sent a Letter to Hubei Provincial Epidemic Prevention and Control Headquarter Again

On the morning of March 3rd, it was communicated in the early stage that the stranded bee farmers could return home with the trucks. After that, some bee farmers in some cities and counties in Hubei Province (including Shishou, Gong' an Jingmen, Zhongxiang, Yichang and some other places) reported that they encountered repeated setbacks and prevarication from the relevant departments of villages, towns, cities, and counties when handling the receiving certificate of returning home. There is even reluctance to issue acceptance certificates for bee farmers who meet the conditions for the urgent transfer of agricultural materials. According to this situation, the Combating Epidemic and Rehabilitation Working Team of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) decided to send a letter to Hubei Provincial Epidemic Prevention and Control Headquarter again to continue to push the remaining bee farmers to return home.

According to CBCGDF’s Combating Epidemic and Rehabilitation Working Team, there are about 130 bee farmers staying in Hubei Province, specifically: Shishou City (14 households), Gong' an County (50 households), Jianli County (1 household), Shayang County (6 households), Dongbao District (2 households), Dangyang city (44 households), Yiling District (2 households) and Yichang City (6 households) under Jingzhou City. CBCGDF’s Combating Epidemic and Rehabilitation Working Team hopes that the relevant departments of Hubei Province can actively implement the guiding spirit of the central government and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs on doing a better job in comprehensive combating epidemic and agricultural preparation production for many times; issue the relevant documents for the transferring of bee farmers to ensure the smooth green passage of agricultural materials; urge the relevant local governments to issue acceptance certificates for bee farmers; allow the families of bee farmers from Hubei Province to return to their hometowns and be quarantined in the bee farm after returning to their hometowns. Try best to not miss the farming season, as far as possible to reduce the loss of bee farmers.
