About 2,200 cotton-padded clothes collected and donated by the Old Clothes Recycling Public Welfare Team of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) have been transported to Qingshuihe Town, Chengduo County, Yushu Zang Autonomous Prefecture (in Qinghai), and handed to local villagers who are suffering from poverty triggered by relocation, on December 17 and 18.

With the incentive of bringing warmth to more people live in poverty-stricken areas, the Old Clothes Recycling Public Welfare Project Team of CBCGDF has carried out programs in Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture (in Sichuan Province) and Bozhangzi Village of Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province.

The Qingshuihe Town was rebuilt after the 2010 Yushu earthquake. The two batches of the old clothes were distributed by local students. With the assistance of the director of Qingshuihe community and the head of Hongqi Village, about 120 impoverished households received the courtesy clothes.

This winter is witnessing our efforts to bring warmth to villagers. The clothes travel across China to transit warmth from all sectors of society to more poor families. We wish to see more people join us!
